Written 8/9/23 A children's poem
I have a cat whose name is Kitty,
She's orange and white and very pretty.
I like to pet my Kitty's fur,
It makes me happy, maker her purr.
Her fur is soft and fluffy, too.
It sounds so cute when she goes "mew".
She sleeps a lot but that's okay,
When she wakes up it's time to play.
Kitty likes to play with balls,
She bats them around and into walls.
Sometimes she likes to scratch a chair,
But Mom gets mad, says "Don't you dare!"
She'll chase a string and jump up high,
I think she thinks that she can fly!
At night when it's time for bed,
She comes and lays down by my head.
My Kitty is my bestest friend,
And our friendship will never end.
I love Kitty and she loves me,
And that's the way it was meant to be.
