Kiss the Rain

Kiss the rain
like the first…
and the last time
you had me in your arms…
Like the first
and last time
I was yours
under starry sky
where the world
stood still, for that very moment
that one, solemn moment…
when I was yours at last…
Kiss the rain…
to keep the flame alive…
and bask in what was,
what could have been…
Kiss the rain like the first
and last time I was yours…
Kiss the rain from here on
and I’ll forever be yours.

Your poem reminded me of a 1987 Summer Fling. Thanks for the read.
