Kiss of Chemo
KISS OF CHEMO
Aromas shed their piquant charm
double doors hide double doors,
escorted by a multiplicity of vapid smiles
deceitful bric a brac to disarm
---a bit of witless repartee
thrown into the anticeptic air
minimum wage porters making pretty
accompanies another dance of pain
vacuous doctor handshake--
clinic bred and reborn
cobra eyes prevaricate
seek to charm
patient's straight and hungry gaze--
sunny windows lose their warm
mechanized whirlwinds grind particles of sound
and sing
a malignant tune from cyber space
twirling and creating
medicreatures with one face
characters well meaning
rough handling
blending procedures
without hard edges
--capture each tintinnabulation and
bouncing clicking glance--
transubstantiated
to computer files
insures payment
without
Hope
