KISMET

Two souls capped in silver gray;
Two hearts bound by one memory.
They knew that clouds will call one day
to end the pages of their history.

But sweet it is for them to remember
their days of sun and riding horses;
The gleaming glow of her flaming ember
as he delights her with cards and roses;

The tears and smiles they shared together;
The lights and shades of the shifting sky;
The sunny days they fished by the river;
The times they braved the years gone by.

And, as he held her by the shoulder
as they walked by the sands of white,
they knew that their sun will not shine forever
but the love they had will always shine bright.
