I must apologize for the state of my heart It’s shiny and shattered Like a porcelain cup My bitterness staining everything it touches But you come in smelling of lemon And forgiveness Wiping up the mess he made of me While I pick myself up And arrange the pieces Then with you gentle touch You sealed my heart with gold
