Clerimerick Couplets form, which is a hybrid form composed of a Clerihew, followed by a Limerick, followed by two rhyming couplets, in that order.
Stephen Edwin King Horror writer, this novelist supreme Supernatural fiction, his theme for 50 years “The Shining” of light on evil, can quell our unknown fears. Here comes that writer from Maine Since the accident he's not quite the same He writes ‘bout Good an’ Evil, And Now that he's kind of feeble, They'll have a reason to say he's lame. King's wife, Tabitha, and his famous son, Joe Hill. The whole family brandishes that elusive quill. Scary stories of supernatural or depraved human beings, But a regard for goodness and light can be seen.

So well done, Crystol, You have a unique ability to see past the horror of King's writings and into "his regard for goodness and light." Your poem brings to mind his story "The Body" which became the movie "Stand by Me." Best wishes for the contest. Blessings to you!

I pray it's not TOO unique! Missing his messages about good conquering evil in most of his books would be sad. Like the story you mention and,"Hearts in Atlantis", "The Talisman ".. to name a few. But I get the other POV too... horror genre is not everyone's cup of tea! Ty for commenting Sam! Xo

this poem elegantly captures King's sensational contribution to literature- specifically the thriller genre. this is a fitting for a novelist who has impressively influenced the world of supernatural fiction. happy to start my morning off with this beauty!

Oh wow thanks! He's one of my favorite authors for sure! No one, in my opinion, captures the unique heart of humanity as King does. And many of his books are simply thriller/mysteries... not horror at all. I'm so glad you took time to visit me today! Xoxo
