Through kindness, we share hope, and ask naught in return. For doing a good turn feels like a safety rope to those trying to cope, and God notes your concern. An act such as a smile, or compassionate deed is like planting a seed; though it might take a while, Karma makes it worthwhile to help someone in need. Kindness isn't innate yet; it's a human trait.
