Kindness

KINDNESS Be ye kind, one to another Is not just a simple request It's meant to remind us of our brother And show them our very best I know that I have been highly Blessed Now I share that Blessing each day By telling others who need to rest How they can change their way I have been tested -- a test that I passed And now I can look back and see Where I was shown ways that last And I'm telling others how to be free My calling in life is not to preach But I still must let others know So now I take the time to teach Plant the seeds, and watch them grow Seeds that will grow and fruit to bear Not just a month or two When given the proper kind of care They will create a brand new you 8 November 2018 For the contest sponsored by Brenda Chiri

You are so very kind, Jan. I hope that many soup members will at least read it even if they don't respond to it. Thanks for your unwavering support.

My Friend Curtis, I can feel the love and passion for souls in these lines of "Kindness". With regards to "Seventh Day", seldom does one receive such kind words of encouragement. I was arrested and captured. Thank you.

Curtis, I don't know what happened to the first reply I sent to your response, but it disappeared into cyberspace somewhere I guess. At any rate, I appreciate your support, your heartfelt comments and the bond of friendship that has transpired between two men named Curtis. Blessings on you!

Pixie Dust, first of all, let me tell you I just love your pen name. It denotes a sense of purety and innocence and your expressive way of showing your kindness shows a soul filled with sincerity. I know we will probably only meet on Soup, but I would be honored to one day meet you in person. Thank you for sharing. You really made my day.

Thank you, Lyric Man. Kindness was not as prevalent in my life in past years as it is now. I finally learned the meaning of what my Mama used to say. "You can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar." This coincides with Proverbs 15:1 which states, "A soft answer turneth away wrath, but grievous words stir up anger." The older I got, the smarter Mama got.

Thank you for that comment. It truly expresses what I hope will be viewed in that same manner by all who read it. I'm pleased that you 'coined the phrase' first so it can serve as a catalyst.

Tom, the miles separate us physically but not emotionally or spiritually. I thank God for you daily. You are an inspiration to me that keeps me believing in myself. I appreciate your wisdom, your support, and I thank you for believing in me as well. Blessings!
