Kind Words
Kind words aren’t too hard
To give away to the needy or poor
They don’t cost one thing
And they give something precious
~
Listening to someone is easy
When they need to talk about something
It doesn’t take much time or money
To lend a ear to the truly lonely
~
A word of advice about some problem
When the friend is in need of a solution
Doesn’t take a lot of compromising
And sometimes provides deep relief
~
A note sent in a text or through the mail
Is a easy thing to reach a heart in need
It could be just the thing to bring peace
To someone who needs a second chance
~
A whisper of tenderest enlightenment
Could take away the worst pain and distress
If only you can take a moment to give it
A heart could be healed from this gift
~
Kind words, listening, advice, notes and whispers
Any of these could be the answers needed
To give a spirit a sense of being appreciated
And hope for tomorrows with love and tenderness
