Keepsake

We were yet to dive into unknown depths,
Of all those words still unheard and unsaid,
In a room so much filled with hope-wrapped breaths,
But got trapped and lost in the maze ahead.

Fading out to fade in opaque disguise,
Resting in the heart of light and darkness,
Merged only our dead past and present sighs,
Trying to whelp hope, amidst hopelessness.

As the sheets laid all alone and wrinkled,
And moments once got inhaled and ran miles,
Of race betwixt floor and roof are now lulled,
To sleep as memories and those keepsake.

A game of life- lost and found, found and lost,
Hide and seek will go on till Styx gets crossed.
