Keeping Yourself On Your Heart Path

a swish
   a swath
         a momentary crippling sensation
Felt at my soul level.
the captain and I looked at each other,
                         bracing for impact.

We are the night travelers
in charge of keeping dreams on their God-paths
                     used to trouble,

Our survival instincts kicked in simultaneously
our dendrite fields shut down temporarily
even before we spied the danger

Venus, a planet of love, but also dangerous for wishes
the shield protecting us from our cell selves
remnants of our last Earth life.

We smiled, recognizing our truth, safe from the danger.

The stars do remind me to stay true to my path, when I remember to look for them-

I count on the stars, for they soothe me and put the world all to right.
