Keeping the Faith

I have been asked the question,
“When is your peak writing time?”

I didn’t want to answer
	such a silly question.

Yet, the true answer . . .

. . . anytime I feel it, that flow
of inspiration. Sometimes, it’s absent,
silent, for weeks and weeks.
Sometimes it flows like a raging river.

I must follow where the Spirit leads.
If I respond immediately,
when I feel it,
	whatever I write
		surprises me later.

“Did I write this?” I ask,
amazed at the discerning power

of the words.

Hi Cona. When the inspiration hits we must write. If we wait it may be gone never to be found again. God is certainly on a different time line or maybe no time line at all. If we welcome it when it comes it will surely come more often. I enjoyed this one Cona. .......Robert.

I know just what you mean Cona. It feels kind of strange to not recognize one's own work, but I am sure it happens to others too. Poetry is a gift that visits anytime and is always welcome! Blessings, Connie 7 : )
