Keeping Hope Alive

The sun shone over the horizon,
High above the scorching heat,
Water a mileage away,
Yet the hooves not far away

The cactus crying from the heat,
The sand sailing with the wind,
The camel's hooves pounding on,
On and on away from the dunes

Ahmed,armed with hope
Of one day having to hop,
Up and down with the armor,
Of sweet little things in his arms

I'm curious about the "sweet little things"; a wonder-filled piece. I like the use of Ahmed, armed.
