Keeping Earth's Estates
We're born; we learn; we love; we grow.
A field is given each to hoe.
Some seldom toil, while some plant deep
on earth's estates we're called to keep.
For some the vines will overflow,
while others, cursed, seem wed to woe.
But time proceeds, and all shall weep
on earth's estates we're called to keep.
Our destinies we can't forego,
for each must face his Jericho.
We sow, and then our death we reap
on earth's estates we're called to keep.
