Keep Walking I was told
Warned by travel agent
When leaving airport
At a tourist location
That many would approach me
But she did not get me ready for this
As I walked through a door
Here comes a crowd of people
With big smiles and pamphlets
Dressed as if working for airlines
Very deceiving to the eye my friend
With some even dressed as officers
Left me wondering are they real workers
Why all these little tables they have
To try and pick me up to carry me to
How could everyone be my car shuttle
It's me they say we got your name
While pointing to their name tags
Left me pondering is this another check point
Can I just walk past them
So I remember just keep Walking
I can see the outside doors
The light shining through
Letting me know this is the right direction to flee
Finally, getting out of the chaos
At the end of the drive
Was a guy with the biggest smile
Saying you made it
Now let's go to your place of rest

Real story but the meaning
I got out of this
Was a reminder to Keep Walking
Many deceivers to try and pull
One off the right path
But there is a true Shepherd
Leading to the End
For when one knows His voice
They shall follow for there is only one

Only God can show the way. If we depend on men for direction, they will mislead us and we are likely to falter and flounder. Jesus is our great Shepherd and we the lambs identify the His voice. Beautiful poem dear Stephhan.

Hi Stephen, very intriguing poem. Reminds me of when I was in Mumbai at the airport once in 1993, kind of scary with beggars and militia with guns, my sister and I with a language barrier, trying to get our plane to Chennai. I think you meant so say Shepherd perhaps? My spelling is the worse.

Stephen, this is an unusual poem. I was lost in the beginning, but glad I kept reading! Your poem has both message and meaning beyond ego tripping! Panagiota

All glory to God, just trying to tell of a time leaving airport, they exhausted me and family in trying to deceive, was glad the travel agent had given some warning because they looked like real airport workers but we're not : )

Excellent, Stephan! A great reminder. No time to chat even when the deceiver smiles. A Cheshire cat grin. Grin and bear the temptation…way of evil…keep on the straight and narrow path!

All glory to God, many fake deceivers with a silver tongue to mislead for their gain, May God bless, comfort, guide and fill you with His peace, love, spirit and joy in abundance: )
