Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord.
Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150:6
Wrens, praying, huddling together
Unfolding their quiet dramas,
Listening to the songs coloring each dream,
Blessing away the shadows,
With joy that breathes sweetest relief,
A sweetness that comes from seeing
Past the sorrows, glimpsing
Wonders that only come to those who can see
His love is alive and He’s living inside,
Where the truth cannot hide - He is light
He is fire, He is the wonderful that will never expire.
Gentlest moon, hesitating
Glowing softly in a star kissed sky,
Inviting the music – a song, a new life
Leaving joy with each tear, singing grace
Through every note, each light, every year
He reminds me why I am alive, why I survived
When the storm tried to torment with
Suffering, anguish, troubling as a plague
Unseen, but crying, mourning,
Erasing the music that comes to those who believe
He is who He says He is, despite the grief,
Despite the darkest grief.
Cardinals in scarlet cloaks,
Feast on the worms who rise up,
From soaked earth, where time has born
Reminders that dread is never worn
On the backs of souls who have sworn
To see through their fears,
To silence their tears,
To listen – through the years…
Wherever I go, I hope God will know
My plan is to always believe
Despite those times when I grieve,
To hear His instructions, His scriptures,
His loving voice, silencing the darkness,
Inspiring my heart to hear
What is meant for only my ear,
The sea of sincerity, the soothing,
The soul who’ll forever cling to Him,
Believing, agreeing, seeing…
He holds the whole meaning
To my life’s being, my breathing
He is the reason I can know
My very heart, my very soul
Are meant to pray and praise –
I’m meant to worship Him all my days,
In every way, through all I say –
I’ll forever pray that I find a way
To show Him this love that never fades,
This love that was birthed by His embrace,
This love that stirs hope and faith,
Assurance that He is my heart’s greatest grace!
