Kayaking

Out on the water kayaking
Slowly tracking
Gentle movements
Practicing improvements
Suddenly the wind picks up
At first a small hiccup
Must seek solid ground
Before I drowned
Stay focused and unafraid
Good plan laid
Each stroke leads to shore
So I paddle a little more
The storm is here
I feel the fear
Rain comes down
From all around
Making it hard to see
What’s in front of me
So I ask for help
It’s heartfelt
Suddenly a boater appears
Out of nowhere, Cheers
I am saved
This experience engraved

Your vivid descriptiveness of a kayak ride gone bad reads like it would prevent me from ever attempting anything like that. Good write.
