Karma

Karma is a feedback loop, magnifying the effect of the choices you make in life. You cannot escape Karma, for it's an ethereal, intangible force, fueled solely by your actions or inactions. Karma rewards acts of kindness and punishes acts of cruelty or inconsiderateness, returning both many-fold, over time! Random acts of kindness define humanity, offering others a glimpse of our hearts and souls. We are social beings: we've learned to lean upon each other for support. We all need help at some point. No one is an island unto themselves. Small, sometimes insignificant gestures, such as offering your seat to a pregnant woman or treating a beggar with scorn, generates positive or negative Karma. Faith is based upon blind belief that we have a soul. Therefore, humanity, as a whole, wants to feel compassion, wants to love and be loved, fueling spontaneous acts of kindness. Yet, free will also allows for acts of indifference or cruelty: the choice is always ours to make. For that is our nature, that is who we are; social beings making choices in life that will define us; Karma is the manifestation of those choices.
