Notes About The Poem

Written May 12 2026 not for contest

Karen

There once was a lady name Karen
Delighted her womb was barren
Menopause is a treat
Except for the heat
And pursuit of a creep named Baron

Haha. Great last line!!! When I was early 50s I got hysterectomy. I had never felt the effects of menopause but it was so nice to be rid of Mary Jane. (Did you call it that?,)

She told Baron to do the turkey trot - To lie in the mess that he then begot - He did as was told - His nose, had to hold - And never again did a turkey drop… Beryl
