JUXTAPOSED
JUXTAPOSED
Standing either side of a door that is closed
One might feel the other, just an inch away
As two hearts that appear to be juxtaposed
Just a whispered word, that the other might say
Would be enough, despite the obstructed view
Perhaps a touch must wait for another day
Feelings both felt and expressed, are ever true
Love permeates even the grain of the wood
But with a locked door, what can one ever do
Wanting to break it down, if one only could
To restore that sense of being together
Just the one time when face to face, was so good
Fearing separation may be forever
A linking of minds that neither will sever
