Just Thinking

It just got me thinking
That I can choose to
Just let go
Of the crown that adorns my head
And to shed off the robe of purity
Which envelops my body
Just to sink into the sinful sea
So as to enjoy in the material world
All the comfort that my frail body needs!

The virtue with which I perfume myself
Has turned odourless
The principles that I consume
Have turned tasteless
And the celestial abidance that I pray to
Has chosen to leave my altar!

And it all got me thinking
That I will have to keep on
Toiling and sweating
And doing such, with the spirit
Of a saint
Can get quite tough
As tough as would be
Flying a plane in the midst of
A powerful typhoon!

The idea of presenting myself, all bared
To life, to love, to use and to enjoy
As it would deem it best
Got me thinking of how
Pleasurable it would all be
And of how dull it is
While being all clad up in all sorts
Of virtuous principles!

It just got me thinking
But thoughts, as long as they remain so,
Bring no change and lead nowhere
While actions,
Always open up new doorways,
Leading to new sceneries!
