Just Say Valentine

Won’t you be, won’t you be my . . .
Valiant hero, idol call
Valentin . . . o, oh no no . . .
I mean yes, but . . . gosh you’re tall!

Herschel, I just had to fall . . .
Fall in . . . fall in line for basketball
No, no, no, that’s not it . . .
Really want to say . . . too small . . .

No, no, Herschel, really mean to say . . .
Won’t you be my . . . rise?
Won’t you be the picture hung
Right before my eyes?

Oh Herschel, how can I say
How can I opine . . . be mine . . .
Oh Herschel, sweet Herschel
Won’t you be my . . . VALENTINE!

There, ha ha, I said it
I didn’t sound . . . aloof
I didn’t limit what I said
To just below the roof

I said the words I wanted too
But that’s not it . . . not all
For Henry is my secret love
And Herschel is my wall!
