Just Me

I Scream... In the silence of a fallen tear This silence grips me So comfortably numb against the rising waves I Dance... With glass beneath my feet Sweetly... As the sand molds round my being Majestic... I am alone in this place of mine Surrounded by the voices of my memories, I Sleep... Howling at the moon rising red upon the horizon Eyes closed, Mind wide open, What lessons these stars teach me I Whisper... To the owl hiding in the forest So that I may soar upon the night And shead my tears upon this land I Jump... Away. . . . Off this cliff of wonder Weightless like the stones of time Coloring my soul with the scars of my past Pushing them outward as not to hide What I've learned in my history I Smile... Sometimes... For just being me.
