Just Me

In a world that says I must be pretty,
I struggle with doubts, it isn't easy.
They want me to change, inside and out,
But why can't they see what I'm about?

I study hard, I do my best,
But still, I feel I'm not like the rest.
Insecurities fill my mind,
Wondering if I'll ever find
A way to be just who I am,
Without changing for a silly plan.

Thanks for your comment Serge, I really appreciate it! That's what I'm trying currently, to be the very best version of myself! :)

Ariana, stay true to yourself, for it is only you, that you must impress. Be the very best version of you! Compliments and affirmation are nice to receive, but in the end, you are the best judge of who you truly are!
