Notes About The Poem

I used to like to watch the guys on the beach pump iron when I was a young girl. Pumped a little iron myself. Got really into the physcal fitness thing when a lot of the kids went "Hippie".

Then one day a beautiful "physical specimen" walked into the employment center where I worked looking for a job as a Life Guard at the beach or something in that line. We never spoke to each other but he kept watching me. I knew because I was secretly watching him as he watched me. When he left the girls in the office really teased me about him and my friend Marsha made up this little ditty and I helped by supplying the last line. Never saw him again but never forgot him, his body or this rhyme.

Just Lookin'

There once was a girl named Judy,
Who flipped for a sportster cutie.
She burned up her chair,
Left nothing but air,
She should have been doing her duty.
