Just Like a Butterfly
She is beautiful but elusive
Just like a butterfly
Never quite touched but so desirable
Aloof as she walks past me
If approached too hastily, she flits away
Just like a butterfly
Look as she runs away, her beauty follows
Leaving me so longingly alone
I am aroused by her resplendent grandeur
Just like a butterfly
Then, she smiles looking both elegant and exotic
Sensuously, she turns…were those wings?
The nectar of the gods courses within her
Just like a butterfly
I reach to caress her cheek craving its velvet softness
Yet, I am too late…she flutters from me.
Something calls harshly in the distance…
The alarm summons me from my dreams
My bed warmly cocoons but slowly releases me
Just like a butterfly
