Just In Time To See My Many Fairy Friends Flee
Just In Time To See My Many Fairy Friends Flee
I heard the gusto from running river current
Walking the big woods, letting my spirit rejoice
White splashed foam and roaring a massive torrent
Speaking with wood fairies in a mythical voice
That language was like mother's sweet applesauce to me
They talked on golden rays dancing in moonbeams
Fairy-dust ships sailing upon all seven sea
And the mellow echoes found in deep fairy dreams
We spoke of the raging beast that roams after midnight
How it slays all woodland creatures it can capture
Talk about its bloody claws and hideous sight
They asked me why such, we mortals enraptures!
Then I woke, I had slept under an old oak tree.
Just in time to see my many fairy friends flee!
