Just Give Them a Rose

One single teardrop for all of mankind
empathetic emotions that flow like the sea
attached to each other we have been vined
only together can we set ourselves free
a tear for the world and a tear for the babes
hasten your feet towards paving a path
it is health and well being, that everyone craves
let us share every blessing to lessen the wrath
a globule of water on a baby cheek lost
they are our future lets cradle them soft
do what we can, without counting the cost
lets raise them with love then keep them aloft.
One single droplet and splatter it goes,
don't make them cry, just give them a rose.

Lovely sonnet, Vie. It's so important that we teach our young, by example, to love other and treat them as we want them to treat us. It's trite, but what the world needs now is Love sweet Love! Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

Magnificent! Superb word choice, flow, combined phrasing & advice, yes, too, for mention of biblical ref of weeping for babes in —our later-day times. (Think about editing lets to let’s ? This should be recited to All on all the news programs! Surely this was divinely inspired! Hugs and His blessings…. sally
