Just For Now

They said goodnight,
Parting for the moment,
As each felt
In the depths
Of their hearts
A pull.

Continuing on their
Separate ways
They knew it
Right, but yet
Craved
To be full.

For the pale moonlight
Was their light
Together shared
For them to
Witness
Each other’s
Hold.

Yet, they walked on
Knowing they’ll
Come together
To succumb
Again to
Each other’s
Control.
