JUST CALLED TO SAY!!

The phone in hand, a simple thing to do,
No special date, no message bold and new.
Just felt the urge, a feeling deep inside,
No fancy words, no reason to hide.

I just called to say I love you, it's true,
This simple phrase, it bridges me to you.
No birthday wish, no holiday's embrace,
Just wanted warmth within this lonely space.

I just called to say how much I care,
A heartfelt truth that lingers in the air.

Another stellar write, you pluck emotions with brevity crisp lines, at least you do mine. You don't lose me in long winding windy imagery lines or in too much fluff, but take me to the heart of raw emotion, good or bad, its emotion. Another one I love - you deliver ... CayCay
