Just Another Poet
I'm just another poet, I'm nothing special
I'm just another poet, I'll never be on Shakespeare's level
I'm just another poet, I'll never be one of the greatest
I'm just another poet, I hope my words aren't wasted
I grip my pen and move it slow
It heals my pain, call this the Therapeutic flow
Had no one to pick me up where i fell from
Trying to produce magic with my pen, but sometimes I get the spell wrong
I try and touch on every subject matter
But I'm so opinionated, so how could some not be upset after?
Am I wrong for speaking on the stuff I see on the news?
I put my whole life on paper, so you know what it's been like in my shoes
I know what it's like to gain scars on my travels
So I write for all the lost people who are in a battle
I stopped self-harming because I can write on the page now
I just hope my words, can get some people to put the blade down
Idolized Eminem so much, I used to try and be Marshall
I'm not the greatest, but my pen will match any weapon in your arsenal
I can write a love poem and break up poem within 20 minutes
Just started writing 6 new poems, while I've got 84 that are sitting there unfinished
These are rhyming words from a tortured artist, who's been tormented
But I speak from my heart, so my words are authentic
I sometimes struggle to express how I feel at the time
some new poems, may be based on previous pain that I can finally release from my mind
I'm just another poet, I'm nothing special
I'm just another poet, I'll never be on Shakespeare's level
I'm just another poet, I'll never be one of the greatest
I'm just another poet, I hope my words aren't wasted
