Just Another Cowboy
Just another cowboy riding down the road to nowhere
Eight more seconds stop and stare
Their image may be different, but the core is just the same
And when you buy into the passion you only feel the pain
So deep that it numbs you yet just one more time
And the emptiness is unbearable you will soon find
That love is not found in a man or in the sweet words he may say
Don’t be a puppet in his play
When it’s the hardest to stand is the time that you must
Don’t give into the lust
In your faith you must trust
That the true peace come from the one above
As pure and true as a dove
Don’t confuse the love
With his desire for you
It will only leave you empty and blue
Don’t you want what is worthy and true?
It’s so hard to wait
But its fate
The one He has for you could be placed here
Have no fear
He’ll be standing before your face
Only because of God’s grace
So save yourself for the day
Lord, give me the strength so I don’t stray
From your perfect plan
When I desire a man
To take my heart and hold it so
When will that day come, only you know
He’s just another cowboy
