Just a Smile

The face of the lake is still again The wind has gone its way Taking the rainfall and a handful of leaves with it One illusion moves into another one As the surface of the lake gives no clue to what lies beneath Its like you and I smiling at each other I can never be sure what's going on in the depths of your emotions Until you tell me And sometimes a smile is just a smile

Michael very good poem. I love the line about one illusion moving into another.
