Just a Glance

With just a glance her eyes pierce your heart
a connection unseen and unspoken of
as she looks away a new feeling falls upon you
what is this pain
what is this emptiness
lost love that was never yours to begin with?
how can you chase such rainbows with no end in sight
If only you could fly
If only you could try
follow your heart beating with eyes open wide
calm the smouldering thoughts whirling around your pride
take a leap and if you fall, you tried.
