Just a Friend Virus

take care against this wicked infection
a cracked window loses love protection
innocent texting becomes a front door
ugly lies collect into a deceit store

my ignorance assimilates naive
your every breath as easy as deceive
our marriage day memories now bleed out
virtue meets a time of our love blackout

a doorbell rings my disillusionment
making “just a friend” an illusionist
my trust is destroyed in a simple text
I end up very confused and perplexed

today I found him in my own front door
making my unfaithful wife a cheap whore

I could feel you seething throughout this. Loved the rhyme scheme and word choices, they all added to the general tone. Don't listen to Judy, though, I say punch him

WoW Hope that didn't really happen. The anger here is palpable. Well done. Very descriptive and lots of emotion. God Bless and a 7 from me. JB ps Don't bruise your knuckles on a man like that. He'll get his and he probably won't be able to cure it either.

I really hope this is fiction, James! Nonetheless, it is a beauty of a sonnet my friend!
