Crank around forward and history repeats
Comprehending every moment is mental feat
Once black chains performed at white man’s feet
While whitey conspired to tear Lincoln from his seat
All there again you can feel it in the air
They all lie plenty but none of them care
Rattlesnakes rattle can you see your chains?
Which master to serve its decision time again
All that tomfoolery glitter like some jewelry
People all mesmerized don’t give a damn just compromise
Add a link of chain they turn the table again
Step right up - your just a citizen
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”
Founding Father Samuel Adams
“The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it’s profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater.”
- Frank Zappa
"It is when a people forget God, that tyrants forge their chains."
Founding Father Patrick Henry
