junk is a hunk

                          junk is a hunk
weighs me down, while I clunk
                        all over the house
                               trying to manage the thing
while lost in a dithering funk.

                          alas, worthless junk
        piled up and further up!
where to begin! what a laborious lump!
               am I, wasting time
                             sorting through this
            huge, hopeless hump?

                             I falter, I bump
                  into a fellow, flighty frump
                            aimlessly sorting
               through her own jangly junk!

            together, we commiserate
                     and conclude that our junk
                                is just adding up
to a barreling barrage of bunk!

Super pen, Laura, with real fun thoughts about junk. I'm sure we've all got junk that needs binning. Have a great day, Gordon

Thanks, Gordon, for stopping by to comment. I’ve been sorting through a lot of stuff over the past few years, and I’ve obviously had enough of it, lol!

haha, that was a fun poem! I used to be addicted to yard sales and turned my house into a garbage dump - lol, but I'm finally got rid of a bunch of stuff and kicked the habit!

I’ve been sorting through a few family members’ storage units (not to mention my own!) over the last few years. I’m at the point where I’m chucking most of it! But am trying to keep a few irreplaceable keepsakes for future generations to enjoy, etc. Thanks for stopping by to comment, David! Take care :)
