Michelle, yellow, esp. canary yellow is one of my favorites. Yellow Amaltas (Indian name) flowers in Summer in India are so soothing to see. They have a lovely sweet aroma too. And it's fruit has great medicinal values too. Can look up in the net for more details. Congrats for fine win. Mohan

Well thought out and executed! But I am till wondering how the military equate yellow with cowardice, but it is OK to have yellow stripes, scarves, badges, etc.? Awaiting your encore! Aloha! Rico

Michelle - I am a big fan of yellow, so this one made me smile. I like how you introduced a well known yellow item into each line, each one brings happiness and lifts the spirits. Your double acrostic is impressive as well. I love the word 'supine', it is such a relaxing word, reminding one of summer days looking up at the clouds. Very joyful poem, my friend. This should do very well in the contest. Good to see you writing and posting ~ John
