Joy of Pink
You were born
I smiled, you cried
As I shared you with others
you smiled, I cried
You went off to school
I waved, you cried
You came running back to me
you waved, I cried
You had your first date
I smiled, you tried
Later you were married
you smiled, I tried
You will always be
My pink bundle of joy
Even as you grow
Throughout the years
We will both try
We will both cry
I’m always yours
You’re always mine
