joy and delight
delight entered the room in a bouncy way
it had a ponytail and a giggle that warmed my soul
optimism which had died a while ago raised its head
wanting to be listened to, struggling to survive
I felt warmed and happy despite my depression
joy danced around, hopping and singing
who was this child? an angel sent by God perhaps
Her eyes were deeply brown; she was a miracle.
She uplifted and rejuvenated my spirits
bringing me back to my former glory
