Joy

oh, people sing,
how happy they must be
as the joy of the world
falls from their lips into our ears
we rejoice with them
not relising that they are not singing for happiness
but more so because they are compelled to
lighten the days of those around them
while the weight of the world still hang
heavily around their shoulders
