Joy

Darkness blinds me
I trip over a rock
Bleeding
I hear howling animals
In the wood
Wanting me to join
In their howl
Cold wind blows
From the north
Snatching away
My clothes
That keeps me warm

But I sing
With a mighty voice
I will not surrender
Joy is eternal

Anger urges me,
Smash everything
Around you
People, living creatures
What have you
Explode like a dynamite
Turning everything
Into dust

Are you kidding?
No way
Instead,
I will sing with
A mighty voice
I will not surrender
Joy is eternal

Loneliness creeps
Into my heart
I feel all alone
With million twinkling stars
Staring down

Do you want keep
Breathing?
A voice asks
Yes,
I will sing with
A mighty voice
I will not surrender
Joy is eternal

Yes, Yes, Yes
Joy is eternal
Gift from above
I will treasure it
In my heart
Till I am called
