I saw
the bad part of
life, lost interest in
living, wanted to die. But death
was not in my hands. Then I decided 
to live for others happiness
through selfless service. I 
found joy, wanted
to live.

WoW! Rama, I, too, felt like this; after many years of pain and abuse, I wanted to die, but like you said,” death was not in my hands. However, in retrospect, I didn't want to die; I just wanted the pain to stop. I'm so happy that you chose to live. This poem is a winner in so many ways.
