Journal, Junk, Jagged Words Poetry Contest

Sponsor: Constance La France

FIRST PLACE

mirrors turbulence of mind documents dull daily chores, poured feelings on blank canvas, friend we trust as true . closest buddy in childhood, confidant in teenage years, my excitement, my pleasures, bleak sadness unwrapped. O my soul, from deep my heart gushed emotions in you, scrawled pages with love and pain, paint days of grim despair! years passed - journal lost glamour, pictured my youth, failed dreams, hopes… words, penned with passion, vanished... dew on lotus leaves!
