Notes About The Poem

Microsoft Bing: DALL-E 2

*Napoleon Bonaparte

Jolted by Twilight

caught napping
resting on our past laurels
never served anyone well

in twilight of existence
Earth is retaliating
and jolted into action
which we might very well now regret awakening

I’ve no tears left for mankind
never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake*

Beautifully said Su, I agree that Mother earth is retaliating and will protect as any mother would do. Thankfully the world is waking up and trustfully it's not too late. Hugs Maria

Oh, Inky. I was ill this past week (running a fever) and I 'woke up' to the uncomfortable truth of our twilight years. Thank you for reading and getting to the core of my message.
