It was very enlightening to see how many people responded to a blog about his passing with words of admiration, condolence, and gratitude for Winged Warrior. He touched a lot of lives. Several wrote tribute poems soon after the announcement was made. It was very touching to see a virtual community come together like that to grieve the loss of one of their own. Thanks for the read and comment ~ John

You are right, " another John gone too soon." Even though I missed commenting on this when you wrote it, being here now- floods my heart with so many wonderful moments and memories of our dear friend. This is beautiful in every way, and such a lovely tribute. He is missed, but not forgotten. Hugs, Brandy

Brother Charlie, Thanks for posting your blog about WW, he really was something special. I totally understand the busy at work lifestyle. I was in that boat most of 2021. I always appreciate your comments and poetry. I still pull your book out every now and then when I need a smile. If we weren't 3000 miles apart I'm sure I'd be buying you a beer at the local pub.

I miss him also, very much, so sad he has gone. He was always laughing, joking teasing and caring, what a waste , such a wonderful man and poet. Maybe he is a bright star in the sky at night and if we look long enough he might wink! This will be a winner , missed you visiting my friend. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer

Hi Carolyn, yes he was quite popular here. His alliterative poetry and vast vocabulary were standouts here. Mostly though, his warmth and encouraging nature put people at ease, myself included. Thanks for the visit ~ John
