Jim
Jim
I tried to tell you, but you refused to hear.
As soon as I returned home from the Army
You took me straight to your drug dealer’s abode.
That was more than my friendship could ever bear
I thought that crazy man was going to harm me.
Getting high was your only love and it showed.
You never thought whether or not it was fair.
The rest of us thought perhaps you were barmy
And you left us to carry the heavy load.
You drove your car and wrapped it around that tree
And when you died you killed something within me.
