Jellyfish and Me
Young kids enjoy playing in the yard, until the dock called out come over here. Alluring water caught their eyes, white shining somethings are swimming by. What could they be we all called out, jellyfish was the adult reply. We watched as they swim closer and closer, then I found myself in the water with them. My friends had pushed me in, so funny they thought it would be to take a swim. A big strong hand I did find, like always my daddy to my rescue. Inflicted with immediate itching and scratching, now the crying began. Off to the bathtub I was pulled, baking soda bath then wrapped in greasy lotion. Itching and scratching for days to come, all the so call friends are now gone.
