Jeanette Chippington
Jeanette struck gold at the Worlds and Euros,
The non-Paralympic Worlds and Euros, that is,
In the sport of canoeing and she has portfolios,
In the Paralympic world as a swimmer, the biz.
She’s won a total of twelve swimming medals,
At five Paralympics going way back to Seoul,
But took up canoeing recently - one of her pals,
Nagged her into it. And has kids, a partner soul.
At the ICF Worlds in Milan in the class of K1,
Jeanette won the gold medal, and then in 2016,
At the ICF Worlds in Dulsburg, Germany’s lung,
Jeanette won silver in the K1 200m KL1 mean.
She took the gold at Rio, making it thirteen
Paralympic medals in total, and she said:
“I thought I’m never going to like it, [not keen],
but once I did it I absolutely loved it [dead].”
