Jealous of the Sun
Should I be jealous of the sun
Forever it will know the sky
Its passion in a fiery rage
Is never slighted to my eye
To see the world at every stage
Must surely be of valued fare
To warm the days of creatures all
With intercontinental flair
With countless visions set to oil
In paintings that the world has known
It counters with its dusk and dawn
Creating paintings of its own
But then I think it still must cope
With clouds and rain to foil its show
So such is life we all must bear
Should I be jealous, I say no
